This is a surfing movie/documentary but the surfing culture has changed (like most sports cultures) since I used to surf in Southern California in high school. This movie is about finding and riding big waves, the biggest on earth and they’re not just on the north shores of the various Hawaiian Islands; they’re all over the place.
The opening sequence alone is worth the price of the DVD. It is one of the best openings ever. It will blow your mind.
