In ohio gas prices are $3.56 and higher. what a rip off!
Lucky people!!!
Here in the UK, we are currently paying upwards of $10.00 per gallon!
Prices here are so high that we now buy it in LITRES ( 1 gallon = 4.5 litres).
By the time prices in the US equal those here in the UK, we will all be riding horses again like in the good ‘ole days.
Could be a market for “garage conversions”. Turn your garage into a stable could be the next platform for enterprising entrepreneurs !!
Carol and Dean: Well, now they are well over $4.00 here in Connecticut. I still say that even though Europe and the rest of the world have higher prices, the fact that George Bush allowed Opec to do this and our oil companies to reap record profits out of it is criminal.
The only upside is that it does give us pampered Americans a bit of what you Europeans have been going through for years and maybe, just maybe, it will get us buying smaller, more efficient cars. We’re stupid enough so maybe not, but it’s a good thought.
I’m with Dean, you guys have it easy!!! ;-)
We have also had oil tanker strikes this week to compound people’s misery. Luckily we have two sensible cars, both diesel and both return 50mpg when on the motorway (interstate).
Jon: You know what I drive and it ain’t pretty. I’ve been driving Anne’s Jetta a lot more now that she’s home from school. Truck is just for hauling these days.
