The local “Cutters” team won the Indiana University 2004 Mens Little 500 bike race this year.

“Cutters” was the name given to the limestone stone cutters who mined and milled the stone that is the facade of much of the Indiana University Campus. In the classic film, Breaking Away the Cutters team are the townies or locals up against the rich IU students.
