Home Work

Lloyd Kahn of Whole Earth Catalog fame has a new book out: Home Work.
It has the same feel as the old catalog and other books that came out in that time frame and amazingly, many of the American funky homebuilders documented in it look like they’re the very same ones documented in earlier picture books on converted schoolbuses and yurts built with tin foil and coke bottles.
This book goes a lot deeper into process and further afield into other cultures and is an amazing testament to the human imagination.
Even though our place here is a bit less funky (a lot less funky) looking at this book makes me want to funkifiy, in a tasteful, New England kinda way.
