Kitty Yoga

Every time my wife Anne does yoga in the house, the cat finds her and “participates.” This is a cat that looks for every opportunity to rub her face up against yours so a yoga pose is a perfect opportunity.
Maybe we’ll call this pose “downward cat.”
As you can see, she’s after a face rub…
…and gets it.
About the only “plowing” cats do is raking their litter. She’s sitting this one out ready to bite Anne’s hair. Why? Why not?

Not really. Since her arthritis she has a hard time with stuff but she certainly likes to “be here now” when Anne does yoga. If that’s a yogi then she’s a master.
Reminds me of my dog, Susie; it doesn’t matter what I am doing on the floor…she assumes I want to be with her. And all the more reason to put her face with mine or snuggle, etc.
Exactly. Self-centered beasts, these pets. On the other hand, they sure are loyal and loving and maybe we’re the self-centered ones.
Was looking for a kitty yoga t-shirt online, came across this. That is so funny! Every time I do yoga, my cat Smokey (who is also dark and long haired) won’t leave me alone. Sometimes I almost sit on him. When he sees me get my mat out he won’t get off. Sometimes in dead man pose he will lay on my abdomen:-)
Kendra, that’s funny. The Kitty is still a pain in the rear when Anne does yoga in the house. The cat will sense her doing yoga even if she’s in the basement and run up and lay on the mat. Anne then tries to get her away but she loves faces so when Anne is in dead man pose the cat wraps herself around Anne’s neck and face. Make me laugh. I’ll take some more pics soon. Have you yet located a kitty yoga t shirt?
I thought I’d cracked it when I found the perfect one in a National Trust Christmas gift brochure - unfortunately I subsequently found out it was a 2005 brochure but someone must have made them - it featured a cat doing all the common yoga poses and was available in t shirt or night shirt- how frustrating.
Would be great if you have found one.

Linda, no t-shirt but a friend sent us a card with a Persian cat cleaning its leg in a rather yoga-like way with a group of human yogis practicing in the background. Fun stuff.
Nice pictures, I think one beautifull day start doing yoga, i like this.
