Kitty in snowstorm
Wednesday, January 4th, 2006
The Kitty hates the snow. Her pads got frostbitten one winter when she was lost for six weeks in sub-0 F weather (she’s on her 10th life) and now she doesn’t go out in it. Plus, the cold doesn’t help her arthritis and she seems to know it.
Still, she spent the better part of her life as an outdoor cat, going out into the woods for days at a time to hunt and express her “wild cat” genes.
The allure of being outside this day wasn’t the snow but the possibility of peeing under the deck and not in her litter. Alas, all access points to her outside latrine are blocked by snow so she’s eyeing the woodpile.
