Tom: I'm no bird expert, just take pictures of them. Can you post or send a still picture of your suspect cowbird baby? Thanks.

I saw on the internet where you have expertise with the cowbird.

I have a live streaming web cam located in a house finch birdnest on my front porch. Last Friday one egg hatched. Then the second egg hatched on Sunday, the 3rd on Monday, and the 4th on Tuesday.

The first bird to hatch immediately grew so much bigger at a very fast rate than the others. He keeps the others covered and gets much of the food.

Is it possible that this is a cowbird?

Please see the live video at http://wa5kub.com and then click on the bird cam

Both the female and male birds feed the babies. The male bird has a red head.

Thanks, Tom Medlin
