Does that make sense? I've not tried this yet but it sort of makes sense to me. I don't have the new airport anyway so can't do it yet but if you do I'd love to hear if you can make it work. Tried the trial version of Superduper!. Won't see the drive unless you plug directly into the back of the mac. Did that and setup first backup, then reconnected to Airport Extreme with USB.
