Richard, Buchwald was great. When I first started reading about his Hospice stay I thought, how incredibly touching and hilarious at the same time. There he was in hospice with only a few weeks to live and then "Too soon to die." He lives on and on for several (?) months more and writes about the whole experience in his irreverant way.

Truly an American/ independent icon. I was sad to hear that he died but glad to know he went out in Buchwald style.
