Sundown on Frozen Lake Waramaug

Warren, Connecticut. We didn’t think our lake would freeze this year but it did and when the sun is up and it’s warm ice fishermen and a few skaters can be seen in various coves. When the sun goes down, however, most people get inside where its warm and leave the lake to a few birds and fewer photographers.

Wow. Totally breathtaking. The nuances of shadow here are exquisite.
Thanks Michaela, I was hoping those shadows and small refelections would show up. It’s cold up here and this really shows it.
