Ice fishing on Lake Waramaug
Sunday, February 11th, 2007
Warren, Connecticut. After walking out to the middle of the lake I set up my tripod and scanned around the shore for ice fishermen with interesting rigs. This is a typical setup: sled to drag it all out there, gas powered auger to drill holes, various short fishing rigs and most importantly, something to sit down on. Some bring tents and have stoves and radios blasting but this guy is the typical around here. He was quite nice to talk with as well and over ice, I could easily whisper from hundreds of feet away and communicate with him (didn’t want to walk over and scare the fish).
