Mine is in the post ;-)
However. Having read The Half Blood Prince a good while ago, I think I am going to read it again first so I get a better sense of what has happened.
Me too! Only I had to go to work today and leave Harry at home! BUMMER
Pam, right. Anne finished it last night before dinner. Now it’s going to Bonnie who will read it to Erin.
We had a bit of a hoohah here in Malaysia during the launch of the latest (and last) Harry Potter. At the very last minute, two hypermarkets advertised that they would be selling the book at a hefty RM40/- (approximately US$10/-) discount and in response, three of the major bookstores announced they would not sell the book. There was quite a bit of discussion in the various book blogs in Malaysia.
Chet: Yes, this is actually true everywhere: the book is so widely distributed that there is little margin for sellers. So, what might have been a huge moneymaker did a bit less well because of the competition and costs associated with launch. I’m sure JK made plenty though, as she should.
