It could be made easily by a 135 f/2 or even a 300mm f/4. My friend Gary made a similar shot of the same railing with a 35mm f/1.4 and the 50mm f/1.4 or 1.8 would do it as well. The key is a relatively fast lens and it's hard to find those in zooms. The L-Series lenses are mostly out of my price range so I’ve been eyeing a 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM and 85mm f/1.8 USM combo.
