Prologue

Prologue is a theme for WordPress that imitates Twitter. It’s used for small pieces of communication broadcast to a group tracking it. Looks like Prologue does Twitter one better. Interesting.
I tried Twitter for a few months but it wasn’t for me. I know it’s extremely popular though. I have a hard enough time reading my various feeds in NetNewsWire let alone tracking yet another piece of incoming information. Guess I’m just not a multitasker.
Yes, this same with me. I have many RSS in my NetNewsWire (your recommend) and not have a much time for all that read, this means for twitter not left time. But sometime I write something.
Gedas: Yes, when I was using Twitter I saw you there and it was always great to see what you were up to, however, seeing what 20 or 100 people are up to is just not for me. And, I’d rather see what they’re up to in other ways, like this way or by reading blog posts and news in NNW.
I think all of these experiments in using the social internet to connect people are great and in time there will be new ones or NNW will be improved incorporating some of these things. We’re in the very early stages of this part of the evolution of the internet and all sorts of things are possible. And, ti’s all good.
I can sympathize with trying to cut back on information overload. Superficial web services like Twitter are often the first to go.
On Twitter I only add people who try to make their tweets more interesting than the standard, mundane entries like “In the kitchen having a sandwich.” They’re not quite blogs, and there’s no need to read every entry, but Twitter can be fun a quick laugh from people who have funny, deep thoughts.
Right Mike. I’m certainly not interested in tracking where anyone is in their house, let alone what they’re eating. I can hardly track what’s going on in the outside world let alone the minutiae of someone’s inside world.
