Fantastic photo set on How the Space Shuttle gets ready for launch.
The assembly building is enormous, twice as tall as the shuttle. I was also amazed that the payload get put in the shuttle on the launch pad and not in the assembly building. What a process.
Amazing that people think this stuff up, build it, and make it work.
