Oriental Poppy totem

Pasadena, California. The Huntington Garden. There’s something totemic about the core of a poppy and these shapes definitely interest me. There were numerous variations on the stripes on these poppies but the purple stripes struck me as most interesting.

Richard, this is absolutely spectacular. What a gorgeous, superlative image! The sharpness of the poppy, against the luscious colors perfectly bokeh’d in the background, make for one very beautiful photograph. I bet it would look fantastic as a large print.
Gary: I plan to print it on a card and maybe larger when I get home. Stay tuned. Thanks bud, glad you like it.
