Matt Stuart, street photographer

Matt Stuart shows a keen eye and a great sense of humor in his street photography.
In his notes we see that he uses a small Leica camera and what looks like a 28mm or 50mm lens. Eveyrthing is shot with relatively deep focus, simple and clean.
Blake Andrews has a good interview with him here: Matt Stuart: What Was He Thinking?.
Note: his web site expands the new window to full screen (ugh) but you can resize it back to contain the small square site.

Matt has some fantastic work on his site. A very keen eye for envisioning a shot and perfect timing. I think I have a new appreciation for street photography. Thanks for the link Richard!
Greg: I agree and I’m quite sensitive to street photographers using subjects in less than flattering ways. Matt keeps it civil while at the same time proactively using subjects to juxtapose with all sorts of odd things.
Excellent find. I laughed out loud at some of those shots. Thanks for sharing.
Great photos, a good little niche of street photography.
