I could never be a street photographer like this, but if you’re gonna do it, this is the way to do it. It makes me terribly uncomfortable, the way Groucho Marx and Don Rickles make me uncomfortable. However, its well done. What can I say?

Interesting, but yeah, I couldn’t do that if you paid me.
Justin: Well, enough pay and I’d consider it. Maybe with the 70-200 to keep my distance.
Richard, you need to come here to india. Not the city though, cuz if you happen to shoot women you’d be in jail for eve teasing. But step out of the city and go to the village, people love to get photographed. So much, i once got so tired i was getting easy candidates in kothattai village when claude and i were shooting the documentary of the transsexual festival.
Dilip: I’d still feel weird and a bit exploitative about it. It’s just me, not a judgement I toss at others. I don’t feel great about using images of people in a less than flattering context.
Hmmm. Plain rude in my eyes. I for one would not be impressed if someone did that to me.
Jon: Right, I agree. However, street photography, whether done with a long lens or a short one in someone’s face, makes me a bit edgy. Many times you’re showing people not quite at their best, sort of taking advantage of them. This makes me squirm. I think I’d rather shoot flowers and cars.
i don’t see this as well done at all, ’stupid low-angle wideshot bw crap’ is what would be the best description of his work.
smok3: I guess I’ll have to disagree with that. While I feel uncomfortable with his technique his images are fantastic in my opinion. He has a great eye for both character and the unusual. However, his method… well, it makes me squirm.
