Ira Glass on Storytelling
Monday, June 2nd, 2008
This is the third in a series of videos (you can find the others on YouTube) and what’s fascinating about it is a little piece toward the end where Glass plays a cut of him as an NPR reporter in year eight of his NPR career and he disects the cut and shows how he still sucked in year eight. Bottom line, it takes time to find one’s voice and hone one’s expressive output.
For those of you who don’t listen to (or watch) This American Life, I highly recommend it. What a great radio show, one of the best.
