The Big Picture

The Big Picture is a wonderful new addition to boston.com that takes the lead in diplaying excellent images in large enough sizes so that one can really feel the impact of high end photography.
More on the rationale on Alan Taylor, the project coordinator’s blog: New Project: The Big Picture.
My mind is working… my photo site might have to change now. I’m pretty sure most of my images could stand a scaling up.

I think the size of your pictures in your photo site are ok, as photographers we own big monitors but there are a lot of people with 14 and 17 inch screens.
Actually I have a 15″ MacBook Pro and they look fine on my screen. They do the photographs more justice and not all but some of my images won’t be compromised by scaling like that. It certainly is more dramatic. I’m considering it anyway. Thanks for the feedback.
Richard, i agree. They look awesome on a big screen and also on my Dell laptop that has a 14″ screen.
Dilip: I’m thinking about various ways to do it and I’m not sure yet how it will work. But, I do like those big pictures and have no paranoia about putting my images online at that size.
