   Now there’s an idea for a new Pelican case ;-)

   We are having this problem too with the ‘budget’ airlines, which are really no longer budget - far from it.

   Jon: this will settle out no doubt and I have no problem with $15 extra for a checked bag. However, from now on I’m taking a bigger bag. Got to get my $15 worth!

   Jon: For $15 we might as well take a bag. FedEx is gonna be a lot more than that. The only upside of it is that if we ship we don’t have to carry. So, I could ship lots of stuff out there ahead of me and just carry my computer and a bit of camera gear on the plane.

   I think it best to suck it up, pay the $15 and check the bag. It’s just flying a la carte, no big deal.
