Warren, Connecticut. Another gerber daisy, this one pink. Yeah, I know, enough already with these weird flowers. We bought six plants though, all different colors, so I have to document them, right?

absolutely right! hmmmm 180mm is better then 100mm ?
Gedas: No, the 180mm macro isn’t better per se, but because of its focal length it allows one to get further away from the subject and still get 1:1 magnification.
Also, because of the extra focal length you can get a bit more blur at the same aperture. This page at The Digital Picture has example shots part way down that show this. Check it out.
It’s not weird…it’s really beautiful; I love looking closely at flowers/plants in my garden (and elsewhere). Of course, I’m a gardener. ;-)
Diane: So, break out that camera and start shooting. Flowers are great fun. Thanks.
