Gedas, the 80-200 is an older version of the 70-200, right? I'd be careful of that lens unless it's well reviewed elsewhere.

There are also two versions of the 300mm f/4 I have. I believe the older one lacks IS and that is essential for handholding such a long lens.

Another lens you might consider is the 200mm f/2.8 L. It's a wonderful lens and on a cropped body is close to the 300.

300mm looks very sharp. I have one secret, last couple weeks I search on ebay (and biding) on 80-200 f/2.8 and 300mm f/4mm lenses. Today I miss one(80-200) but not so bad it was used lens (5years). the best thing is I don't want now used lens from ebay. I browse B&H today and saw not bad price of it. Also in my list is Sigma 30mm f/1.4, but I dont have of all these three lenses money, need choice one.
