   Edward. Well, if the image quality is high and there’s no noise he has a good point about all that extra resolution: makes cropping a breeze. Now, if we could get just that much (but no more) resolution on the new 5D it will be a sure fire hit.

   Richard, my bet is that the 5D replacement may well have more pixels but do just as fine as the 50D like how Brutus Östling claims here. Maybe more pixels in the sense, it may be a 15.8 Megapixel or a 16.1 megapixel sensor. Well, i guess we just keep fingers crossed and not be surprised if it turns out to be a 18 megapixeller :D

   The end of this month at the photokina show in Germany.

   Maybe.
