   Yes it has, but few digital cameras (and software) can match the vibrant, long-lasting color of that extraordinary film. Take a look sometime at Els Rijper’s fine book Kodachrome The American Invention of Our World, 1939-1959. For more contemporary photographs made with Kodachrome, see, the superlative images of Alex Webb, David Alan Harvey, William Albert Allard, and Steve McCurry.

   Gary, I have a ton of Kodachrome 25 slides here and they still look great after 30 plus years. My 5247 movie film is all faded now. Ugh. Better get scanning fast.

   You better get that scanner cracking, bet you’ve got some great slides from your climbing days.
