My mother, Post-debate
Saturday, September 27th, 2008
Los Angeles, California. It just so happened that I flew to California to visit my 93 year old mother the day before the first Presidential debate, so we got to watch the debate together.
My mother is nervous, she thinks McCain did better than she’d hoped but I reassured her by switching channels from PBS to MSNBC where Olberman was going wild.
My mother’s instincts are amazing. She picked Obama before anyone I know and while I’m more of an Obama zealot than she is these days, she’s still involved and rooting for her man.

Richard,
This is a very nice portrait of your mother. Really beautiful. The lighting is superb. A real “keeper”.
Thanks Dale, I have this sweet spot in her living room that works well for this side lighting which as you might imagine I learned from our friend Carlos a few years ago.
Superb photo of a lovely lady. One of my faves :-)
Great to chat and we all send our best!
Great picture. Yesterday I saw on tv this first Presidential debate, but can’t say what’s of these two candidate are better for me. ;-) also, nice t-shirts.
Gedas: Seriously? I think you’re pulling my leg in Lithuanian, right?
yes, I was watching their debate yesterday, but only for about 10 minutes, then I swiched channel to Animal Planet. I think to America need younger president.
Richard: that’s a stunning photo of your mom. Superb portrait, with great lighting and color.
Gedas: Barack Obama isn’t young enough for you? I’d say he’s the right age.
Gary, thanks, I’m happy with it myself. If my mother could see she might be too. All she sees is the wrinkles in her neck and she’s not happy about that. I told her there’s a limit to what I can do on a computer.
Yes, Obama is enough for me.
frances is a wise woman! great shot, ricci
Thanks Will.
