Nuthatch taking off
Saturday, November 1st, 2008
Warren, Connecticut. This feeder is on the north side of our house and it’s tough to shoot given its proximity to the sun’s arc. However, I was able to get a few interesting shots including this one of a nuthatch who, upon landing immediately took off when she saw me. I love her little feet and toes, so streamlined in flight.

What a fine series. That Nuthatch is a beauty…..and what a sharp lens that 135L is.
Gary, remember, this is the combo of the 135 and the extender. I think the combo stands up to the 200 quite well in my testing so far. If I had to decide right now I’d skip the 200 and just use the combo. More tests are in order though.
