London (harder, better, faster, stronger) from David Hubert on Vimeo.
I really wanted to make a video of London while I was there earlier this year but I didn’t had any camcorder, so I took pictures instead. In fact I took more then 3000 pictures and put them all together in less then 2 minutes.
I mixed it with the track ”Harder, better, faster, stronger” from Daft Punk live record ”Alive 2007”
Pump up the volume and enjoy.
This is great and even if it’s not perfectly produced it’s a wonderful place marker on the idea of using controlled still photography in video to music.

I don’t suppose a person like myself who owns just an everyday digital camera would be able to do this? We are always looking for applications for students to use. What think?
Pam: Absolutely. You can do this with any kind of camera. You might want a tripod for the shots where there are multiples with a 5 degree movement between them and you might want something higher end for the night shots sans-flash but sure, you can do it.
You can assemble it all in iPhoto or iMovie and have a blast.
I love it, that came out awesome, and I’m going to need to go download that song.
I always wonder, when people publish something like this, do they pay for the rights to use that music?!?
David, great question. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. And, no doubt the host sites (vimeo and youtube) have issues with that question too.
Richard - I love this. I just did about 1000 photos of a musical that can’t be video taped. Hmmm…this gives me an idea. Was it the Beer that attracted you?
Martha, no not the beer, the energy. Give it a go, let me know how it works out.
