The Kitty turned 19 today
Friday, March 27th, 2009
Warren, Connecticut. Our wonderful old black cat who is now all gray had her nineteenth birthday today. She’s quite arthritic and has a tough time getting around these days and her thyroid needs medication twice a day but she does have her moments and we do our best to keep her happy. The Kitty was born a month before I met Anne and has been with us through three houses and many happy times. She’s what Anne calls a "professional cat" which I’m told is one who eats her kills. These days the kills are in her dreams.

Kristen, Cathy & Steve say Happy Birthday to Kitty!
Kitty says thanks to you out there in Oregon, especially the llama.
Happy Birthday Kitty!
I swear I remember saying Happy Birthday last year too, time is flying!
Best wishes,
Jon :-)
Jon: Yes, time is flying but the Kitty lives on. Thanks.
Amazingly, in cat years she’s somewhere between 84 and 93. If she’s 93 she’s the same age as “me mum.”
Happy Birthday Kitty from Lithuania! Yes Jon you right time is flying, I remember last year too.
Gedas: And I remember last year too. Of course, none of us are getting older… just the cat. ;)
Happy Birthday, Kitty, ol’ friend. She’s one great cat, Richard, and your photograph of her is great too. Valentine the Wonder Cat wishes her a Happy 19th year too.
Thanks Gary, and Kitty thanks you too. She’s not happy about the chromatic aberration in this shot though, wishes I still had an 85L to catch her. I told her to buy me one.
Her cousins and family in Kansas wish her well. She has lived almost as long as the famous Mower who was 21.
Kitty says back atcha Pam. Hard to see how she’ll make it to 21 but I’m certainly hoping for it.
Great photo! What a lady cat!
Caitlin: You met this cat years ago when you visited. Not sure how much of a “lady” she is, she routinely rips up my hands if I don’t pet her exactly right.
Sounds about right :)
