Stretching canvas printed photos
Friday, April 10th, 2009
These days it’s becoming popular to do photographic printing on canvas and mount the canvas (stretch it) like a painting. This is a demo of a kit which makes this process near painless. I wish the sound was better but it’s worth putting up with as the demo is first rate.

Richard, are they using Hahnemühle’s new gallery wraps for mounting the canvas print? I came across the Hahnemühle kit a few weeks ago and was intrigued by it. Here is the link to the official description: http://www.hahnemuehle.com/site/en/1909/gallerie-wraps.htm
All the best,
Andreas
wow, I like this, where I can buy this ‘frame’ box with different size ?
Andreas: Exactly right, they’re using the Hahnemühle system and the great thing about your link and the video up at their site is that they’re demoing it not with canvas but with what looks like conventional paper.
I think this might be worth a try. I’ll see who sells it over here.
Gedas, I’m sure it will come in various sizes and one could always buy a size too big and cut it down. I’m not sure what the stretchers are made of though but I can’t imagine it would be difficult.
B&H has it: Gallery Wraps.
