Hands-on with the Canon EF 1200 f/5.6L lens
Note that he puts a 2x teleconverter on the thing. Dang, isn’t 1200mm enough? Yikes.

It is in your list? :)
Gedas: No, not even remotely. I’d love to have a few longer faster lenses but I also like to carry my lenses around without breaking my back. So, 300mm f/4 is my limit at the moment.
bah! ur an evil friend to have! just when i want to resist my urge blowing money on a 5D Mk2 you post things like these and tempt me even more! :’(
Dilip: Don’t fret, this lens isn’t made anymore so is rare, expensive, and frankly, I’d rather have a 500mm f/4 than it. At least one doesn’t need a truck to move it.
@Richard: lol, i was only kidding. im not allowed to carry more than 5 pounds of weight and my camera bag with two bodies and a few lenses is already about 8 pounds. There is no way i will buy this lens (even if i had the money) and use it. :-P
But then, if i get to be someone like justin timberlake and have like real hot chicks in bikini’s to carry my stuff around everywhere i go, then its a different story altogether ;-)
Dilip: Most of those “real hot chicks in bikinis” cost more to “get” than the lenses you hope they will carry (which they’ll hire an assistant to carry).
@Richard: No, u didn’t get my idea! I will own all the lenses. The hot chicks will carry my lens bag everywhere i go. Of course, if i have money like Justin Timberlake or someone like that, would i really care about the money part? For all you know, i may use silk robes for toilet paper :D Oops, we indians use water, let me replace that with “i may use rose water instead of water” , lol! ;-)
Dilip: So, the HCIB (hot chicks…) will be carrying the rose water and their assistants LTHCIB (less than hot…) will be carrying the cameras and lenses.
too funy i went to school with this guy. it realy looks heavy
e
Edward: Wow, friend of a big lens lifter! It really is heavy but it sure would be fun to play around with.
