Click the image above to start a slide show of the various image in this set. The slide show application has various tools including a button at bottom right to zoom to full screen. Let go of your mouse or trackpad and the slideshow will run automatically to the end or until you stop it. Use your browser’s back button (left arrow) to return here.
Note: Those of you who have tried my other slide shows, I’m trying this one in a new window (on top of this one) to make it easier to bail and get back here by simply closing the new window. Let me know what you think either way, thanks.
The purple coneflower is also known as echinacea which is sometimes used as a natural antibiotic and immune system stimulator. Whatever you use it for, these plants are beautiful and a joy to photograph.
These images were taken with a Canon EOS 5D camera and for the most part, a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. A few were taken with a Canon EF 300mm f/4 L lens. A tripod was used.

AH! That made me smile – beautiful!! I just sat back and enjoyed the show
Thanks Pam, glad it looked okay and you got back here to comment! How’s life in the “grandma” lane?
They really are spectacular flowers and your photography presents them so nicely. I think echinacea is use in those so colled “monk drops” which are blamed to be good against flu.
I’m delighted you like the images Jonne. I guess I’d better go find some “monk drops” because we’ve got a lot of flu in the US now.
