This is the largest cruise ship ever built. It’s a monster and while cruising like this isn’t my thing, the technical aspects of this project are fascinating.
Check out the various videos, especially the entire “building” section and within that, the one on “propulsion.” Wow.
It is great Finnish craftsmanship.
Jonne: On a gargantuan scale. Do you think it will be successful as a cruise ship? In order to make money they no doubt have to fill over half the beds on the thing on every cruise, maybe more. Somehow cruising like this doesn’t appeal to me at all, but hey, I’m weird (as you know) so no doubt it will be super successful.
I think there are only few places left now in 2010. So they have a good reservation situation. I would like to take a cruise with Queen Elisabeth II from UK to USA.
Jonne: Really? What would you do during the crossing? Look for icebergs? Gamble? Shop? Browse flickr?
You gave some wonderful options!
God forbid the wifi goes down. Then what? ;)
