The Photography of Joseph O. Holmes

I can’t say I’m in love with the navigation of Joe’s web site but his ideas for images and his execution is some of the best I’ve ever seen.
Check out the various collections in his portfolio, each one a fantastic idea for a series, beautifully photographed and processed.
In case you’re wondering, he uses a Nikon D700 full frame digital SLR and various Nikor lenses to make the images. More on his FAQ page and on his tools page.
There’s a lot to explore on the site and one can easily get lost doing it. However, the images are so good it’s worth the effort.

Amazing pictures. Right now I read his tools page about Sigma 30mm f/1.4 this lens is in my wish list. I selling my 17-55 and want to buy couple of primes lens. Thanks for link Richard I bookmark Joe’s website.
Gedas: He’s amazing, really a first class photographer but of course, as you know, you could give me his entire photographic tool chest and that would not make me as good a photographer. I had mixed feelings posting the tools links because I hate to support tool envy. What I was really trying to show is that those amazing shots were taken with a DSLR, not a medium format camera.
wow it seem like he has a lot of equipment I think the images are realy good.
I don’t think he has much more than any professional photographer and yes, his images are very good.
