Warren, Connecticut. While Anne was at school giving SATs I peeled the rest of the fruit. Get some good driving house music on the iPod, sharpen the paring knife and dig in. Fruit peeled in no time (well, two hours).
Anne came home and made up enough crust dough for eight pies (our guestimate, about right). While I soaked my aching hands she beautifully assembled these babies and baked them to perfection. The little one is for the grandkid, a tradition.
Ugh. I see I didn’t get the white balance or much else right with this shot. Excuse the shot, the pies are what counts.

who is eating all these pies? do you ship?
will
Pies are 100% what counts. I love that Erin gets her own pie – how long before she needs her own full-size one?
Will: We’ll eat two at Thanksgiving, two at Christmas (we already have 4 more made and frozen) and the rest during the year as we get a hankering. We do ship, from our basement freezer to my mouth.
Sarah: Good question. As Erin grows into a full size pie she’ll have to compete with me and things could get ugly.
