The GF1 is a near perfect travel camera
Craig Mod reviews the Panasonic GF1 micro four thirds camera. He also has some nice video shot with it: POINT & SHOOT 720p HD.

nice but not cheap…
I agree Edward but if it works and can be a primary camera it’s not bad. Not many lenses for the platform yet but we’ll see. Right now I’m happy with the G11. Time will tell.
I think what is great about the G11 is that it shoots raw and the price is pretty good
Edward: I have to say I’m not using it much to make RAW files, the high quality jpegs are fine for what I’m doing with it these days. Someday I’ll spend more time with it experimenting. Even on full automatic it’s a joy to use.
Today we hiked up Bear Mountain in serious cold and while it was tough to take gloves off to set up a shot, I did it. Had the camera been more complex there’s no way that could have been done.
Great little camera! I’ve taken mine to a trip through Europe with a total of 4 lenses and was never overwhelmed with too much weight. Definitely a great travel camera given it’s small size and excellent picture quality.
Thanks for the report Cesar.
