On the Appalachian Trail between Kent and Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut. We’ve done this hike many times recently but it’s so good we decided to do it again to introduce Gary to it before he flies home to Oregon tomorrow. We had a great day, less ice than we thought, more mud but no problem and it was warm enough so we didn’t have to wear heavy clothing. We’ll all miss Gary but we know he’ll be back for more adventures in the summer.

Richard, that was a fine hike today, a great experience for me. It was very pleasurable on the trail with you, Dave, and Loren; sure looking forward to hiking with you guys again as soon as possible. Many thanks for excellent adventures during my holiday vacation with you, it’s been a outstanding from the first day!
Great to have you here Gary. The hiking was a lot of fun and now you know the territory we’re covering when we post images. When you come back we’ll get up into Massachusetts and do some bigger mountains for sure. Keep on walking out in Oregon, it’s obviously doing you a load of good.
