Pancake as sign?
Sunday, January 3rd, 2010
Warren, Connecticut. Some people see Jesus in their Latte foam. I might see this pancake (in the shape of an apple) as a sign that Apple will ship a tablet, break $300 and dump AT&T as their iPhone carrier this year.
Too bad I don’t believe in signs.
The pancakes were great this morning.

I love your “Apple” pancake.
As some one who wears hearing aids, it would also be perfect if the iPhone could be used as a phone without ear buds which I can’t use so I can’t have an iPhone! Maybe the tablet will have that option. (sigh) Also, the cell phone rate structure is extremely high.
Diane: Are you saying that you think the iPhone must be used as a phone with earbuds? This isn’t true, I use the phone without earbuds all the time; I’ve never used earbuds to talk on it. I think it could easily be used by someone with hearing aids and the volume control is easy to use so getting it right for yourself would be a snap.
Thank you for clarification. My mistake! I’ll have to investigate further. I do know that the monthly cost is very high, and is in addition to the regular cell monthly fees. I presently only use my cell for emergency calls, so I don’t have a real excuse for using an iPhone.
Diane: The iPhone is a computer and you can’t get service without a data account as well as a cell account. This is what makes it expensive. I’m not defending AT&T but using an iPhone is not like using a “regular” cell phone, it’s more like using a hybrid of a computer and a phone and this is part of what’s making the service expensive.
Lol, good one! Some people see God in everything. After finishing half a bottle of Finlandia im sure all of us can see god. Which is precisely why me and my friend were doing it this Christmas :P
Apparently Google is coming up with a Tablet as well.
Dilip: If you believe, god IS in everything.
I think Apple and Google both are in excellent positions to do successful tablets. Some people will see god in these as well.
How ’bout the lady who saw Jesus on the bottom of her iron?
happy new year to you and anne. love from sheryl
P.S. Your pancake reminded me of a virus trying to invade a cell., and succeeding. Yummy.
Sheryl: Right, Jesus is everywhere, as are Apple products!
Virus – cell, sperm – egg, Apple – tablet… like that.
Happy new year back at you and yours.
Richard, I can’t speak about Apple or Tablet although I do have some delectable words regarding AT&T…particularly this week. I can however, say with some authority: that is one lovely apple pancake. Happy New Year and thanks for all the interesting brain food.
Susan: I completely agree re: AT&T (I think).
Of course, it’s our town that’s the problem around here; no one wants a cell tower and we have 1-2 bars of service at our house, on a good day. That’s not AT&T’s fault, it’s our town and their fear of cell towers.
Granted, I’m not crazy about them either but there are places to put them where they’d have less impact both visually and radiation-wise.
Happy Near Year back to you and I’ll keep on dishing out the brain food.
If Apple breaks 300 God will probably sell and take a profit.
No doubt Sandy. I hope you’re still holding some AAPL yourself. I should have re-bought at 73 after selling but hey, I’m not crying, we did very well with the stock.
