New York over the Holidays

New York City. This image is from a trip to New York I made with my friend Gary over the Holidays.
If memory serves, Madison Square Garden is a block to my right. Gary and I spent a good twenty minutes photographing the flags in front of this building. The wind was just right to blow them into fascinating shapes.
I love these reflections where you can see a clear reflected background but also hints of a life inside the glass. It would be perfect if someone were standing at one of the windows.

Richard, I remember well photographing that flag with you, on that very cold day in NYC. Despite the cool weather, we sure had a great time. It’s always a fine feeling, with you photographing nearby, and neither of us pressed for time. Your photos turned out really well, good to see them.
Gary: Likewise photographing with you nearby. I’d forgotten how cold it was and the wind blowing that flag didn’t help matters any (except the flag pictures).
This summer when you return we’ll be in there in shorts. Nice change.
Hey, great pics, I like that flag, looks like windy day it was.
Hey Gedas, not too windy but cold. Glad you like the images, it was fun to get out with my big camera again after hiking with the smaller one. Got to get into New York more often, it’s a great city, very stimulating to be there.
