Great, thanks Chet. I’m wondering if combinations like Command A for select all are supported?
Richard, I imagine Neo would work with shortcuts just like any keyboard does… it’s not a limitation of the keyboard if it doesn’t work, but rather the iPad app. In Pages, some shortcuts like undo work, but bold, italics and such do not.
Vance: Right, I realize that the Neo should work like it does normally connected to a computer, but remember, the iPad is running iPhone OS and iPhone OS may not support a full keyboard with all bells and whistles. I don’t know… The onscreen keyboard doesn’t support all of the stuff like command A, etc. so I don’t know what’s built in to support external keyboards. We’ll find out…
I have tried the Apple Bluetooth keyboard with an iPad and Pages, and it did do some keyboard shortcuts. Command + A was one that worked, so was command +c, v, z. Lots others did not work, though. Depends on the app. I think Neo would probably work with whatever shortcuts the apps supports.
Probably Documents to Go will offer more keyboard shortcuts, and that one will work with DropBox files, too.
Hi guys,
Thanks for posting the pic and link to the video. Much fun.

Thanks for that Vance, it’s good to know. I’ll probably be buying an Apple Bluetooth keyboard at some point in the near future and between that and the Neo I’ll be covered.
Thanks for sharing Eolake, glad you documented this great connection between “ancient” technology and new.
Could you connect an AlphaSmart 3000 to an iPad as well?
Steve: I’m sure you can, all you need is the iPad camera connection kit and you’re set:
