Flipboard may very well be the killer app for the iPad. It’s the ultimate aggregator and content presenter for everything you track: The New York Times, Facebook, Twitter, blogs with RSS feeds, everything with a feed.
Robert Scoble interviews Fliboard CEO, Mike McCue and once they get into the meat of the app it’s worth watching to get a better handle on what Flipboard is: First look at “revolutionary” social news iPad app: Flipboard.

I’m using it more and more, and seems like the first digital newspaper tailored to me.
I never looked at Facebook until now – it just presents it in such a nice format, and the same with Twitter. They’ve done a very, very solid first release.

This is great to hear Jon. I had a feeling this might be the killer app (social app anyway) for the iPad. I’d get an iPad to run it if I thought it might work for me. Keep posting your thoughts on it, I’ll be interested. Thanks.
Just posted on your latest entry Richard. What stands out to me, apart from the excellent personalisation, is the UI / UX. Slick, slick, slick, with nice social features as well.
It is one of the stand out apps, along with Things, Reeder (my favourite) and Wired magazine.
Jon: Why do you need “Reeder” as well as Flipboard? I thought FB was an all in one RSS and Twitter feed reader. No?
Flip needs Internet so you need reader if you only have internet on the go. Plus no rss support ( yet?)
Thanks Blair. I’ve switched from NetNewsWire to Google Reader and I’m liking it. I’m using an app called Byline for the iPhone which syncs with google reader quite well.
Still, the idea of flipboard really appeals to me. Maybe someday Apple will release a MacBook Air that runs iOS and I can run flipboard on it.
