Times newsreader for iPad
Thursday, August 12th, 2010
Wow, this is another fantastic aggregator like Flipboard that allows one to read a variety of feeds on an iPad in a well designed format. The nice thing about Times is that there will be a Macintosh version of it too. I hope they sync with one another… wouldn’t that be great.

It does look good, but the absence of Google Reader Sync means a ‘wait to buy’ status for me.
Reeder is by far the best reader app right now, and the developer just tweeted yesterday that a Macintosh version is coming :-)

Jon: I’m not a big fan of Google Reader; I used it to sync with NetNewsWire for about 6 months and it left out half the updates to my feeds. When I dumped it I found that I was missing important stuff.
My goal is to get a newsreader to use sync services so I can use mobileme to keep things in sync. MM isn’t great either but at least it’ll all be syncing in one place: my mobileme cloud.
So far I’m not all that happy with any of these cloud based services but I’m sure they’ll get cleaned up as they get more popular.
