Good one. For some reason, Gregory Hines always seemed under-appreciated. He was amazing as were all the dancers shown. Fun to see Barbarino, er, I mean, Travolta in some early incarnations.
And what can we guys say about the Flash dance. Timeless and classic.
Sandy: It was Gregory Hines that made me cry. Anne and I saw him on Broadway in “Boogie’s Last Dance” and we were sitting so close I swear I got his sweat on me. He was a real genius and a fine human being. As was Patrick Swayze. He was another under appreciated actor and dancer.
I love the way the video was put together. Glad you liked it too.
What a great video, Richard! Thanks for sharing it. More dancing is definitely on my itinerary. :)
You’re welcome Chris. Dancing is always a good thing, even if not at the level of the folks in the video.
I can’t view it – not in America. :(
Chet: Sorry, I don’t understand. youTube content isn’t available in Singapore?
Certain YouTube content. When I clicked on the play button, I get a message that the video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment which has blocked the content in my country (Malaysia) on copyright grounds.
I searched YouTube for another copy uploaded by someone else, but there isn’t any.
loved all the clips and was surprised at how my heart caught when Michael Jackson briefly appeared.
Sorry Chet, I wish I could make it accessible…
Sheryl: I agree, seeing Michael Jackson dance is thrilling in this mix, the guy was simply amazing.
If you get a chance to watch Michael’s “This Is It” movie and haven’t already, it’s amazing. Shows him as a the dazzling performer and gentle soul he was. Still grieving his passing, though grateful I got to see him perform once in person.
