Dinner’s over

Warren, Connecticut. Great dinner with friends. The room was pretty dark and just a few candles were lighting the table and the light on Anne’s plate was inviting me to try out the S100 in low light.

That looks pretty good to me Richard!
Yeah, I was happy with it Jon, the little camera does pretty well with low light sans flash.
I like it too. Oddly, besides the low lighting and technical aspects, I like the subject matter. Somehow, with most foodie photogs taking pictures of beautifully prepared plates of food, it’s cool to see some grimy evidence of a meal already enjoyed and finished. It tells a story. Or at lead you can imagine one (of course in your case you can remember one).
Pretty amazing lighting here.
Sandord: It was an excellent meal with excellent company. A small detail is that the woman who cooked the food is a potter and also made the plate.
Scott: This was the ultimate test of the low light capabilities of the little S100 and while there was noise it wasn’t bad and it was easy to clean up. I’d say it wasn’t all that much worse than I’d see had I used the 5D and a fast lens to take this shot.
