My father’s 6th grade class, 1926
Saturday, June 23rd, 2012
PS 26, Bronx, New York. This is my father, Walter Wanderman’s (1915-2000) 6th grade class. He grew up in the Bronx, my mother in Brooklyn.
I have only a few pictures of my father online so many viewing this may not be able to pick him out in this early picture. Can you?
I found a more recent picture of PS 26, also called Burnside Avenue School, on flickr.

“…so many viewing this may not be able to pick him out”…
unlike the multitudes who picked out your mother! ;)
But of course I’ll take a crack at it: back row, 5th from left?

Sheryl: You got it, first try. Amazing. Congratulations. Two first class tickets to Salisbury are on their way to you!
Damn! I had this one too, but Sheryl got there first. This one was much easier!
Amy: Right, it is easier to spot him in there. The wise guy in the back.
I had him picked out too! Wow!
Pam: Great, thanks for “playing.” ;)
