Short walk at Macricostas Preserve

Macricostas Preserve, Steep Rock. Washington, Connecticut. It was hot but I wanted to see what the Queen Anne’s lace looked like in Macricostas so I took a short walk with small camera and iPhone. Great stuff to shoot, too bad it was so hot I didn’t feel like doing anything. Heat and humidity sucks.

Richard, you held up well in that heat. The Queen Anne’s Lace photos were particularly fine, good to see the Bee Brook again!!
Gary, I was back out there again today with the Steep Rock group, a very nice group of folks who had a variety of cameras and gear. I’ll post some more today and/or tomorrow. It was so hot it was tough to stay focused so warning: bring a hat, sunglasses, and light clothing when you come back.
Yes, it’s sure hot on the east coast, and I’m bringing my hot weather gear!
Very autumnal looking color in the Bee Brook. The lace have great POV and sense of space. Beautiful photo of natures geometry.
Thanks Scott, it was a fun day and I kept going back to shoot the lace.
