Flickr member Philippe Marquand Photography has taken a great picture of an interior courtyard in one of Antoni Gaudi’s buildings (Casa Milà better known as La Pedrera) in Barcelona, Spain.

Love this. Recently saw some of the new construction of his work in Spain. What’s crazy is his Dali-sequence looking structures have incredibly advanced architectural components.

Sandy: Right, I gotcha. I didn’t realize it at first but this image is what’s called an “HDR” (high dynamic range) image that’s made by sandwiching a number of different exposures together to give the image a look it would be difficult to get in the camera with a single image (multiple exposures stacked up).
That’s not to say it’s not a great image, it is, but it’s a tad unnatural. Actually, that unnaturalness goes well with the look of Gaudi’s architecture.
